General Information
ALENTOUR was founded in 1999. It is located in Lux (21120), Cote d’Or, a small village of the Gallo-Roman origin, with a long-standing history of extraction and processing of the ‘comblanchien’, an outstanding Burgundy stone. ALENTOUR has evolved from a local artisanal company to the national manufacturer, driven by its founders being passionate by the moulded reconstituted stone. Today the enterprise has a large production site with an automated concrete centre equipped with a workstations distribution line; stratification and moulding centres, a 3D modelling engineering workshop to create the company’s proper moulds, vast depositories for storing raw materials (silos, sand hoppers etc.) and finished goods, a quality-testing laboratory and office premises including administration, finances, sales, marketing and R&D departments. ALENTOUR offers a wide assortment with more than 100 items of standard products, the majority of which is always in stock. On request the models are available in different colours and dimensions, with incorporated names and images. Moreover, the company’s modern engineering facilities allow it to produce “tailor-made” solutions (100% customized) of any complexity. |

The
reconstituted stone
The products are very sturdy and resistant to freezing. They are made
of a hard limestone of Burgundy, crushed and reconstructed with
hydraulic binders, dyed and waterproofed in the mass; their final
aspect obtained by deferred stripping.
The company designed most of its models to facilitate their placement
and guarantee an easy maintenance.
E.g. the exterior pavements can be laid on the stabilized gravel in
order to economise the paving and the glue, reduce inclination
constraints, facilitate the tedious work of joints, and ensure a
well-drained ground obligatory for all exterior coats.
Such solid construction elements as columns, pillars, door and windows
frames can be moulded as monolith structures reinforced by steel rods,
which simplifies their installation and adjustment. At the same time
ALENTOUR offers special models in kits for an on-site assemblage, e.g.
a recently developed flower planter consisting of several blocks, their
number to be defined by a client.
It should also be noted that the products of reconstituted stone are
perfectly combined with other building and decorating materials such as
wood, natural stone or terracotta. However, their prime advantage is a
quality-price ratio. |
